CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Mason Madsen was honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference as part of the 2022-23 Men's Basketball All-Academic team, it was announced today.

Madsen, an applied psychology major, shined on the court and in the classroom in his first season with the Eagles. The junior guard appeared in all 33 games for BC, earning 12 starts. He averaged nearly 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 21 minutes per outing.

The transfer from Cincinnati led BC with 40 3-point field goals and reached double-digits in the scoring column on four occasions. He tallied a season-high 18 points, knocking down five trifectas including the eventual game winner, against Detroit Mercy.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
