Scorching Offense Leads to Eagles' Win Over Dartmouth

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse continued its home dominance with a convincing 18-5 win over Dartmouth on Wednesday evening inside Alumni Stadium.Â
The Eagles are 8-3 on the season and remain perfect at home with a 6-0 mark. Dartmouth falls to 2-6 this season. BC has outscored its opponents 101-35 at home this season.
Jenn Medjid led the offense with a season-high six goals and tied a season best with seven points, leading an offense that saw six players record multiple scores.Â
The offense assisted on 11 goals, including a career-high tying five assists from Mckenna Davis. The sophomore tied a career best with seven points thanks to a pair of scores.Â
Belle Smith registered her fourth hat trick of the season with three goals, added an assist for four points, totaled two caused turnovers and two draw controls. Kayla Martello and Ryan Smith scored twice, and Erin Walsh found the back of the net twice for her first goals of the season. Andrea Reynolds scored once and posted a team-best five draw controls.Â
Boston College wasted no time getting on the board as it jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Davis highlighted the fast start, having a hand in five of the scores.Â
The Eagles went into the half with an eight-goal lead despite the Big Green scoring three times in the second period.Â
Dartmouth never got to within seven the rest of the way, as BC tacked on six straight to close the contest for its sixth straight win in the series.Â
BC's defense held its opponent to under 10 goals for the sixth time his season. Sydney Scales and Melanie Welch, along with B. Smith, led the team with a pair of caused turnovers. Scales and Hunter Roman led the way with three ground balls, while Shea Dolce stopped six shots in the net for her fourth win of the season.Â
The Eagles return to action on Saturday against Pitt in the annual Red Bandanna game at 12 p.m. in Alumni Stadium.Â
