Eagles Ready for Showdown With No. 1 Tar Heels

BC Faces UNC in Rematch of ACC & National Title Games
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The fourth-ranked Boston College Eagles head to Chapel Hill for a 4 p.m. Friday matchup against No. 1 North Carolina on ESPNU.Â

Last Time Out
Boston College bounced back in dominating fashion with a 17-8 victory against No. 10 Duke last Saturday.  BC limited the nation's third ranked scoring offense to a season-low eight goals and controlled the draw with a 20-9 showing in draw controls. The trio of Andrea Reynolds (8), Hollie Schleicher (7) and Ryan Smith (4) combined for 19 of the team' 20 draw controls. Rachel Hall made eight saves for a .500 save percentage between the posts. Six players registered goals in a balanced effort on offense, while Kayla Martello tied a personal high with five scores. She was one of three Eagles with hat tricks, as Cassidy Weeks and Jenn Medjid each turned in four scores apiece.Â

Hall Named Defensive Player of the Week
Hall was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week It's the first weekly award of the season and the second of Hall's career. The Cypress, Texas native is coming off a stellar outing with a season-high nine saves and a .529 save percentage in a 17-8 win over then-No. 10 Duke. Hall helped the Eagles hold a Duke offense in check to a season-low eight goals. The Blue Devils went into the contest third in the nation averaging 19 goals per game.Â

Mckenna Davis is off to a hot start as she's leading the way with 12 assists and 19 points on top of seven goals. Davis has tallied at least three points in all four contests and claimed a season-high seven points against USC in the season opener. She is averaging 4.75 points per game this season compared to just 1.34 as a freshman.

-Â The Tar Heels are off to a 4-0 start after their 10-6 ACC-opening win against Virginia Tech on Friday.
-Â Caitlyn Wurzburger led the team with a hat trick, leading seven players who scored.
-Â Wurzburger and Marissa White each have a team-high 10 goals, while Reilly Casey's 20 points (9 G, 11 A) is a team best.
-Â Alecia Nicholas has started all four games in the post, boasting a .594 save percentage with 38 saves and a 6.59 goals against average.
