Eagles Notch Comeback Win Against Middle Tennessee

FORT MYERS, FLA -- Boston College won against Middle Tennessee on Friday night 4-3. The Eagles improve their record to 6-1 on the season while the Blue Raiders move to 5-2.Â
BC started the game slow going down 3-1 in the third inning. They would go scoreless all the way until the seventh inning when the offense suddenly found its groove, scoring three runs on some clutch hitting from Sophomore's Hannah Slike and Darien McDonough.Â
Slike had two hits, a double and an RBI in four at bats and McDonough who had one of her best games so far this season, went for two hits, an RBI, a double and one stolen base in just two at bats.
Graduate transfer pitcher Sofia Earle, who was a huge reason for BC's comeback, got her first win of the season. She came in for Sophomore Abby Dunning in the third inning and recorded eight strikeouts and allowed only two hits in 4.2 innings pitched and 16 total at bats.Â
Boston College Softball will be back tomorrow for two more games, another against Middle Tennessee at 5 p.m and FAU at 7:30 p.m.Â
