BOSTON COLLEGE VS. CCSU - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the seventh meeting between the two schools.
BC has won the previous six matchups - all at Conte Forum. In the last meeting, BC earned an 74-55 win on Dec. 15, 2019.
Duke and CCSU are the two DI teams with the nickname Blue Devils.

BOSTON COLLEGE VS. THE NEC

Boston College is 37-5 against teams that are members of the NEC.
The Eagles downed Stonehill, 63-56, on Dec. 13, 2022 in the last meeting vs. an NEC opponent.
Boston College has won 11 straight vs. NEC opponents.

POST, PARTY OF ONE

Quinten Post is the only player in America averaging 20.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.4 blocks per game.
Since 1996-97, only one other player has posted that stat line for an entire season: Trayce Jackson-Davis from Indiana.
Factoring only the scoring and rebounding averages among power conference players, Post is joined only by fellow All-American and National Award candidates Hunter Dickinson (Kansas) and Zach Edey (Purdue).
Post ranks fourth in scoring and seventh in rebounding among players on the Naismith & Wooden Award watch lists.
Among players on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar watch list, he is third in scoring, eighth in rebounds, and fourth in blocks.
He is also posting nearly a 50/50/90 line of shooting percentages, connecting on 52.1% from the floor, 48.4% from the 3-point line, and 86.7% from the FT line. He is one of two players posting those percentages (min. 15.0 ppg).
Post is the only player in the ACC to rank in the top five in scoring (2nd), rebounding (4th), and blocks (5th).
Post and Edey are the only two power conference players to rank in the top five in those categories in their respective leagues.
The 7-footer leads the ACC in PAR (points-assists-rebounds) at 31.9 per game and second in double-doubles - with three.
Post is 12th in FG%, second in 3FG%, and 2nd in FT% among players on the Naismith & Wooden Award watch lists.
It's not a small sample: in 58 games at Boston College since the 2021-22 season, Post has registered just under a 50/40/80 shooting percentage line - .520 FG; .419 3FG; .797 FT.
He is the only active player to post a 50/40/80 shooting line since the start of the 2021-22 season to the present.

Two Boston College players - Claudell Harris Jr. and Quinten Post - have scored at least 30 points in a game. Two other Eagles - Jaeden Zackery and Devin McGlockton - have scored at least 20 points in a game.
Jaeden Zackery and Miami's Norchad Omier are the only two ACC players to have 20 points, six boards, four assists, and three steals in a game this season.

CAN'T KNOCK THE HUSTLE

Boston College is 2-1 this year, 7-1 in 2022-23 and 10-3 since Feb. 21, 2022 when Jaeden Zackery scores at least 15 points.
Zackery tallied a career-high 21 points in nearly 39 minutes of play at The Citadel on Nov. 10.
Last time out against N.C. State, Zackery led BC with 20 points to go with six boards, four assists, and three steals.
Against Harvard, Zackery added 18 points (6-15 FG), making all five of his free throw attempts.
When Zackery goes to the free throw line at least five times, BC is 3-2 this year, was 7-2 in 2022-23, and is 12-5 all-time.
Zackery has committed one or fewer turnovers in four games in 2023-24 and has 10 total turns in 204 minutes of play so far.
Boston College has won six of its last eight games when Zackery commits one or fewer turnovers in a game.
Zackery is one of two ACC players with at least six games of 10 points/4 assists/2 steals (Reece Beekman, UVA - 5).

McBLOCKTON

BC is 15-6 when Devin McGlockton blocks at least one shot and 9-1 when he blocks at least two shots.
The sophomore forward has registered at least one block in six of eight games in 2023-24 and two blocks in four games.
The versatile 6-7 post presence is averaging 1.3 blocked shots per game in 28 minutes of playing time.

HARRIS HEADED FOR THE BRIGHT LIGHTS OF THE HEIGHTS

Claudell Harris Jr. has scored in double figures in six of eight games, including a season-high 22 points at Vanderbilt.
Harris made 9-of-13 shot attempts - including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc - in 34 minutes of play vs. the Commodores.
It was Harris' first 20-point performance of the season and the 13th of his career.
It was also his 12th career game with at least four 3-pointers. He has made 14 trifectas and is averaging 2.0 3FG/game.
Harris arrived at BC as a transfer from Charleston Southern and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
He shined for CSU for two seasons, earning All-Big South second team honors as a sophomore a season ago.
The 6-3 guard averaged 17.5 points per game last year - the second-best scoring mark in the Big South.
Harris scored in double figures in 28 of 30 games for the Buccaneers in 2022-23 - including two consecutive 30-point games.
He scored at least 20 points on 14 occasions and also connected on three or more 3-pointers in 14 of CSU's 30 contests. Harris spent two seasons at Charleston Southern and was named to the 2021-22 Big South All-Freshman Team, averaging 10.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 31 games played (14 starts) in his first collegiate season.

PRINCE-IPAL

BC is 4-1 this year and 12-5 all-time when Prince Aligbe grabs at least six rebounds, including a 7-4 record in ACC contests.
He is averaging 5.0 boards per game - third-best on the Eagles; 14 of his 40 rebounds have come on the offensive glass.
His best scoring and rebounding performance of the season came on Nov. 15, when he tallied his first double-double.
The Minneapolis product scored 15 points (6-8 FG) and grabbed 10 rebounds, including four on the offensive glass.
When Aligbe scores in double figures, Boston College is 6-3, including a 5-2 mark in 2022-23.
The 6-7 swingman started 24 of the 27 games he played in 2022-23, missing seven games in November (high ankle sprain).
He consistently made big contributions in his first collegiate season, especially in the second half of several big wins.
In his first collegiate game, Aligbe made an immediate impact - connecting on the gamewinner in the opener vs. Cornell.

BOSTON'S NEW BIG THREE

Quinten Post (20.9 ppg), Claudell Harris Jr. (13.5), and Jaeden Zackery (12.5) account for nearly 62% of BC's scoring.
Last time out vs. N.C. State, the trio accounted for 52 of the Eagles' 78 points (66.7%).
The trio account for over 40% of BC's rebounds, 60% of assists, 50% of blocks, 50% of steals, and 65% of 3-pointers made.

CK3

Chas Kelley III is poised to take on an increased role as a playmaker and scorer for the Eagles in 2022-23.
Over the two games in Kansas City, Kelley posted his best back-to-back performances of the season.
The sophomore guard averaged 7.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while making 50% (6-12) of his shot attempts.
Kelley registered eight points (2-4 3FG), three boards, three assists, and a steal against Loyola Chicago.
He had seven points and two boards against Colorado State in the opening game of the MTE.
Over the final 12 games of the 2022-23 season, Kelley posted a 1.54:1 assist/turnover ratio and made nearly 38% 3FG.
Included in those 12 games was Kelley's best game of his career - a 17-point outburst at Virginia Tech on Feb. 8.
Filling in for the injured Jaeden Zackery, Kelley made 5-of-8 shots (4-7 3FG) and dished out four assists in 31 minutes of play.
Entering the VT game, he had scored 12 total points with only two made 3-pointers in 10 previous ACC contests.
For his efforts in that win, the Houston product was named ACC Rookie of the Week on Feb. 13.
