
Eagles End Non-Conference Play with Dominant Win Over Bryant

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College women's basketball put forth a dominating performance in a 94-57 win against Bryant in the final non-conference game of the season in Conte Forum on Wednesday night.Â
The Eagles go into ACC play on a five-game win streak and an 8-5 mark, while the Bulldogs are 6-6 after 12 games.Â
Andrea Daley set the tone early, scoring 13 of her game-high 19 points in the first half. The junior guard shot 9-of-12 from the field and grabbed two steals. Dontavia Waggoner hit all six of her shot attempts en route to 16 points. She led the way with five steals and added three assists.Â
JoJo Lacey was the third Eagle in double figures with 11 points and added four rebounds and four swipes. All 11 players who saw action scored, while BC tied a season best with 27 assists.Â
Kaylah Ivey set a personal best with 12 helpers on top of six points and a pair of steals.Â
It was all BC from the start as it jumped out to a 21-6 lead, hitting nine of its first 12 shots. Daley led the charge scoring eight of the points. The Eagles went into the second period with a 26-12 lead after shooting 62.5 percent from the floor and forcing Bryant into seven turnovers for nine points.Â
BC wasn't threatened in the second quarter, where the Eagles grew the lead to as large as 29 after a Lacey layup to cap off a 6-2 spurt to end the half. The offense assisted on 18 of 22 field goals and shot 57.9 percent from the floor.Â
The Eagles cruised the rest of the way in the second half, capturing their largest lead at 45, leading to a 6-0 mark against Bryant.Â
BC forced 32 turnovers for 40 points and dominated the paint with a 50-32 showing inside.Â
Boston College returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 31 to begin ACC play on New Year's Eve against Duke at 2 p.m. in Durham.Â
