Third-Ranked Eagles Set to Face UConn in Home-and-Home

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – No. 3/4 Boston College faces UConn this weekend in a Hockey East home-and-home series, beginning Friday on the Heights and closing on Saturday in Storrs. Both games against the Huskies will face off at 7 p.m. and air live on ESPN+ and WEEI 850 AM.
SETTING THE SCENE
• The Eagles are 7-2-1 (2-1-1 HEA) after taking two points from a two-game series at Maine last weekend
• UConn sits at 5-6-1 (3-3-0 HEA) following a Hockey East split with Merrimack last weekend
• The schools have combined for 44 total goals in the last five meetings (8.8 per game)
ON A PERR-ROLL
• For the second time in three weeks, freshman Gabe Perreault was named the Pro Ambitions Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Monday
• Perreault had a multi-point performance on both nights of a two-game series against Maine, finishing the weekend in Orono with four points on a goal and three assists
• He also converted in a shootout on Saturday in a must-score situation, helping the Eagles win in eight rounds to earn two points
• Perreault leads Hockey East with 13 assists and his team-leading 15 points rank second in the league and second nationally among all rookies
• He has factored into eight of Boston College's last 10 goals

• Boston College's all-freshman line of Gabe Perreault, Will Smith and Ryan Leonard has combined for 12 goals, 27 assists and 39 points through 10 games
• The trio is averaging 3.9 points per game, including 19 points over the last two weekends
• Perreault (15) and Smith (14) lead the team in scoring while Leonard (10) sits fourth
