Jellvik and Perreault Earn Hockey East Weekly Awards

AMESBURY, Mass. – Following a two-game sweep of No. 7 Michigan State, sophomore Oskar Jellvik has been named the Hockey East Co-Player of the Week while freshman Gabe Perreault has been announced as the Pro Ambitions Hockey East Rookie of the Week.

Jellvik posted four points in the sweep of the Spartans with two goals and two assists. He scored twice in Thursday's 6-4 victory for his first career multi-goal game and added a pair of assists in Friday's 5-1 win. The Swedish forward is riding a five-game point streak and has five goals through six games after scoring four in his entire rookie campaign.

Perreault also had a four-point series against Michigan State with two primary assists in each game. The forward from Hinsdale, Illinois has a point in four straight games with three multi-point performances during that span. Perreault is currently tied for second on the team in scoring, along with Jellvik and Cutter Gauthier, with seven points on a goal and six assists.

Boston College, the new No. 1 team in the country in both national polls, opens Hockey East play on Friday night against UMass Lowell at Kelley Rink. Faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on NESN as the Eagles close a six-game homestand.
