Cross Country Travels South to Compete in the Arturo Barrios Invitational

Men's and Women's Cross Country travel to Texas for second meet of the season
College Station, Texas – The Boston College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are set to compete at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday, Oct. 13 at Watts Cross Country Course in College Station, Texas.Â
Battle In BEANTOWN
The Eagles are coming off competing at the Battle in Beantown back on Sept. 29, where they faced some of the top teams in the country. Steven Jackson placed 22nd overall in the Men's 8k with a time of 24:32.2. Seven other Eagles finished in the top 100, including John Garvey who placed 60th with a time of 25:20.5 and Peter Fox who finished 68th with a time of 25:28.7. On the Women's side, the Eagles placed tenth overall as a team, compiling 321 points. Four Eagles placed in the top 100 in the Women's 5K, including Anna Robinson who finished 44th overall with a time of 18:02.3.Â
FRIDAY IN TEXASÂ
The competition will feature 40 teams on the Men's side, along with 42 on the Women's side. The meet is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. with the Men's 8K, followed by the Women's 6K starting at 9:15 a.m. Race times are subject to change in the event of inclement weather.Â
