BC to Play 11th Annual ALS Awareness Game at Fenway Park

Eagles honor ALS champion and BC captain Pete Frates ’07 May 19 vs. Notre Dame.
BOSTON – The Red Sox and Boston College today announced the 2023 Eagles' ALS Awareness Game at Fenway Park will be played on Friday, May 19. The annual game has been played in honor of former BC baseball captain Pete Frates '07 since his ALS diagnosis in 2012. This year marks its fourth time being played at Fenway Park. Frates passed away in 2019 at the age of 34.

First pitch of this year's ALS Game is set for 7 p.m. against Notre Dame. General admission tickets and broadcast information will be available at a later date. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Peter Frates Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting ALS patients and their families with the cost of specialized home care required for patient stability as the disease progresses.

Boston College has totaled over 12,000 fans in attendance at its previous three ALS Games at Fenway; yielding nearly $130,000 for the Peter Frates Family Foundation.
