Eagles Wrap Up Busy Weekend at Terrier Invitational

BOSTON – Kyla Krawczyk represented Boston College in the best possible way as their sole participant at the River Hawk Invitational on Friday, Jan. 27 - winning the 800m dash with a time of 2:13.54. The Eagles built off of that momentum to put together a strong performance at the Terrier Classic the next day on Saturday, Jan. 28.Â
Katherine Mitchell led the way for the Eagles - setting a new personal best in the indoor mile with a time of 4:35.43 for a fourth-place finish out of 137 runners. She bested her previous PR time of 4:44.00 that she set just last week at BC's own Eagle Elite Invitational - setting a new facility record at the TRACK at new balance. She was followed by Sarah Flynn, who placed 18th overall with a time of 4:47.39
Krawczyk continued her strong weekend into Saturday - finishing seventh overall in the 400m dash out of 95 runners with a time of 56.20. Anna Cleary (57.76) and Kate Clark (59.70) rounded out the Boston College finishers for the event, placing 18th and 42nd respectively.
Charli Beekman secured another top-15 finish for the Eagles - earning 14th out of 51 participants in the 60m dash open with a time of 8.17.
Sophie Albright led the Eagles in the field events with a fourth-place finish in the high jump with a score of 1.60m. Lila Belsher followed suit, placing seventh with a height of 1.55m.
Maureen Lewin (800m) and Jolene Murphy (200m) rounded out the top finishers for BC. Lewin placed 21st out of 94 runners with a time of 2:12.87 while Murphy earned 31st out of 136 runners - finishing the event in 25.77.
