BOSTON COLLEGE VS. LOUISVILLE - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the 15th meeting between the two schools. Boston College is 4-10 all-time vs. Louisville.
This is the lone regular season meeting against the Cards in 2022-23. Last year, BC lost, 67-54, at Louisville on Jan. 19, 2022.
The game was delayed 75 minutes due to a leaky roof.
Tonight marks the first visit by BC to Chestnut Hill since Jan. 2, 2021.
Boston College is 1-8 vs. the Cardinals in ACC play. The lone victory came on Feb. 27, 2019 - 66-54 - at Conte Forum.

With a 3-pointer with 3:05 remaining in the first half at Notre Dame, Makai Ashton-Langford scored the 1,000th point of his college career.
Through 129 career games, the graduate student has scored 1,012 points at Providence (2017-18) and Boston College (2020-present).
Since transferring to BC, he has tallied 763 points in 66 games over two-plus seasons at the Heights, from 2020-23.
He is the second transfer student in the past two years to reach this collegiate career scoring milestone.
James Karnik '22 reached the 1,000 point mark almost exactly a year prior - Jan. 22, 2022 - in a home win over Virginia Tech.

QP'S MONSTER PERFORMANCE AT NOTRE DAME

Quinten Post scored a career-high 29 points and tied a career-best with 14 rebounds in an 84-72 win at Notre Dame on Jan. 21.
Post was 10-for-14 from the floor, connecting on a career-best 4-of-5 from the beyond the arc.
The 7-footer also connected on 5-of-5 from the charity stripe and blocked two shots in 29 minutes.
His efficiency rating (PTS+REB+AST+STL+BLK - FG Miss - TO) was 37.
That was a career-best for Post and a single-game high for any BC player since the 2019-20 season when Steffon Mitchell posted an EFF rate of 38 in an OT win at Virginia Tech on Feb. 8, 2020.

Quinten Post is now Boston College's all-time 3-point field goals leader by a 7-footer, with 17. Post is 17-for-45 (.378) at BC.
He passed Nate Doornekamp '05, who finished his Eagles' career connecting on 16-of-45 from beyond the arc (35.6%).
Post ranks ninth nationally among 7-footers in 3-pointers and is third in 3FG% (.378) over the past two seasons.

SWEEPSTAKES

With the win over Notre Dame on Jan. 21, BC earned its first regular season series sweep in ACC play since 2019-20.
That season, the Eagles took two from Virginia Tech - 61-56 at home and 77-73 in OT in Blacksburg.
It also marked the first time since 1996-97 since BC swept a season series with Notre Dame.
BC won by 12 - 73-61 - at Notre Dame and held on for a 76-74 win at home that season vs. the Fighting Irish.

RING OUT THE OLD...

Boston College saw its 420-game streak with at least one made 3-pointer end on Jan. 17 at North Carolina.
BC was 0-for-6 from beyond the arc in the game - marking the first time since Nov. 28, 2009 that BC went without a 3-pointer.
The Eagles were the first ACC team this season - and the first since Virginia a season ago - to go 3-pointer-less in a game.
Last year, UVA was 0-for-6 from 3-point land vs. Louisville on March 9, 2022 and 0-for-9 vs. Virginia Tech on Feb. 14, 2022.

Boston College connected on a season-best 11 3-pointers, making 11-of-19 from the perimeter at Notre Dame on Jan. 21.
The 11 treys were the most by the Eagles since Feb. 21, 2022 when they also made 11 in a home win over Florida State.
BC's 11-of-19 shooting was good for 57.9% - the best single-game shooting mark (min. 10 3FGA) since Jan. 20, 2019.
In that game, the Eagles made 13-of-21 3-pointers - a 61.9% clip - in an 87-82 home win over #11 Florida State .

In conference play (nine games), BC is averaging nearly 11 turnovers per game, while posting a 1.20:1 ATR.
During the non-conference, the Eagles were averaging nearly 3.0 turnovers more per game, with a 0.75:1 ATR.

Makai Ashton-Langford (t8th, 1.50) and Jaeden Zackery (t8th, 1.50) rank among the ACC leaders in steals.
In conference games, Zackery is sixth (1.56 spg), while Ashton-Langford is ninth (1.44 spg)
Over the last two seasons, Zackery (87) ranks third and Ashton-Langford (76) fifth among all active ACC players in steals.

PRINCE DOESN'T SHY AWAY FROM BIG MOMENTS

Despite being a freshman, Prince Aligbe does not shy away from big moments in his first season with the Eagles.
He scored 10 of his 15 points in the second half vs. ND on Jan. 3, including a jumper with 2:32 left, making it 61-60.
Three of his seven 3-pointers have come in crucial moments - a buzzer-beating 3FG to end the first half and spur on the comeback against #20/21 Virginia Tech; a 3-pointer in the corner with 1:24 left in regulation to make it a one-point game at home vs. #16/14 Duke; a 3-pointer with 7:13 left at Notre Dame, ending a 22-7 Irish run and giving BC the lead for good.

LANGFORD BROTHERS QUITE A COMBO VS. MIAMI

DeMarr Langford Jr. (20) and Makai Ashton-Langford (19) scored 39 of Boston College's 72 points at #16/15 Miami.
DeMarr Langford Jr. finished with a season-high 20 points, making 10-of-13 shots from the floor, while also tallying six assists.
Makai Ashton-Langford scored 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting, while adding two assists, a steal, and a blocked shot.
The brothers combined for 18 of BC's 32 made field goals and eight of the team's 14 assists.
In the second half, the Langfords combined for 27 of the Eagles' 44 points and 12 of 20 made field goals.
It was the third-highest single-game scoring output by a pair of brothers on the same team this season.
Connor (17) and Patrick (24) McCaffrey combined for 41 against Wisconsin on Dec. 11, while Tanner (14) and Jacob (26) Groves put up 40 points for Oklahoma in a win over Central Arkansas on Dec. 17.

ALLOW ME TO RE-INTRODUCE MYSELF

Jaeden Zackery scored a season-high and game-high 18 points in the win over Notre Dame on Jan. 3.
The sophomore guard tallied 14 of his 18 points over the final 10 minutes of play in the second half against the Irish.
He made a career-high seven field goals in the game, while adding four boards and three assists in 37 minutes.
BC is 4-0 when Zackery scores at least 16 points in a game this season (Notre Dame, Stonehill, Rhode Island, Wyoming).
Prior to his 16-point game vs. Wyoming, he had tallied 11 points in his previous two games - including a season-low four points against Tarleton State, going without a field goal for the first time in his career to that point (39 games).
Against Wyoming (8-8) and Rhody (7-8), he went to the free throw line 16 times, connecting on 15.
When Zackery goes to the free throw line at least five times, Boston College is 3-1 in 2022-23 and 6-2 all-time.
Zackery has been BC's high scorer on six occasions and ranks third in scoring (10.4) since the return of Quinten Post.

LANGFORD JR. DEVELOPING AS PLAYMAKER

Over his last six games. DeMarr Langford Jr. has dished out 22 assists while committing only five turnovers.
During that span, he is posting a 4.40:1 assist/turnover ratio, while averaging 9.5 points, 3.7 boards, and 3.7 dimes per outing.
At Miami, Langford Jr. registered six assists to one turnover in 35 minutes of play. He also had a season-high 20 points.
On Jan. 3 against Notre Dame, Langford Jr. registered a career-high eight assists to only one turnover in 36 minutes.
It is the highest single-game assist mark by a BC player since Makai Ashton-Langford had nine on Feb. 21, 2022 vs. FSU.
In ACC play, Langford Jr. ranks fifth in the league in assist/turnover ratio (2.55:1).

MADSEN FROM DEEP

Mason Madsen leads the Eagles in 3-pointers made this season, with 21 - and has 69 career treys in 66 career games.
Over the last five games, Madsen is 6-of-14 from beyond the arc - good for a 42.9% clip.
The junior transfer connected on three 3-pointers against Villanova in the Never Forget Tribute Classic.
It was the second game this season - and ninth career game - in which Madsen made at least three trifectas.
Madsen tied his career single-game high with five 3-pointers - including the go-ahead trey - in a win over Detroit Mercy.
