Mitchell Breaks Facility Record as BC Hosts Eagle Elite Invitational
January 20, 2023 | Women's Track & Field
BOSTON – Boston College hosted their first ever indoor track meet at the TRACK at new balance today in the Eagle Elite Invitational. The world-class facility the Eagles now call home is designed to help athletes break records - which is exactly what Katherine Mitchell did in her first appearance of the indoor track & field season.Â
Mitchell broke the facility record in the mile run with a time of 4:44.00, which is also a new personal best to add to her already impressive career. She wasn't the only Eagle to earn a first-place finish however - as Charli Beekman (60m), Sophie Albright (T-1st high jump), and Isabella Bruno (T-1st high jump, triple jump) all ended the night with first-place finishes.
