Eagles drop midweek contest to visiting Black Bears, 18-7.
The Eagles (19-31) used 11 pitchers in the contest with graduate right-hander Brendan Coffey (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) tossing the first scoreless inning of the game with a three-up, three-down seventh. Junior RHP Max Gieg (Lynn, Mass.) started and was hit for four runs, including a three-run home run by left fielder Scout Knotts.
Knotts homered twice on the day, adding a solo shot in the ninth, and drove in six runs in a 3-for-5 performance. For BC, junior second baseman Luke Gold (Ballston, N.Y.) and sophomore left fielder Travis Honeyman (Massapequa, N.Y) each homered.
