Mitchell Finishes Second in the 800m at ACC Championship

Personal-Best time of 2:04.09 is Third-Fastest in BC history
DURHAM, N.C. — Katherine Mitchell placed second in the 800m on Saturday night at the 2022 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championship, held at the Morris Williams Stadium on the campus of Duke University.
Mitchell clocked a personal-best 2:04.09 - just .09 off the facility record. It is also the third-fastest time in Boston College history. Â
In the 5,000m, Lauren White finished in eighth place in a time of 16:11.70. Anna Oeser finished close behind, clocking 16:15.59 to finish 10th. BC's 4x400m relay team placed eighth, posting the second-fastest time in school history - 3:42.58.
On Friday, Mitchell won her qualifying heat of the 800m in a time of 2:06.69. Marne Sullivan clocked a season-best 2:07.77, finishing 13th. Â
On Thursday, Anna Cleary ran a personal-best 1:01.90 in the 400m hurdles, placing ninth and narrowly missing advancing to the finals.
