Manson Bests His Own 400m Hurdles Record at ACC's

Places fifth in Saturday's final. clocking 51.98
DURHAM, N.C. — Marcus Manson bested his own Boston College record in the 400m hurdles, finishing fifth in a time of 51.98 seconds on Saturday night at the 2022 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
Manson's previous record - 52.15 - was set at last year's ACC Championship.
On Friday, The Eagles saw several personal and season best performances. In the 400m, Max McQuide clocked a personal best time of 48.96. Jalon Williams also ran a PR in the 100m - in a time of 10.71, which ranks fourth all-time in BC history. David Scherrer (1:50.85) and Eddie Kelly (1:52.70) each ran new PR's in the 800m.
On Thursday, Manson ran a season-best 52.29, to advance to the finals of the 400m hurdles. Manson ran the fifth-fastest time of the preliminary rounds, placing third in his heat. In the 1,500m, David Scherrer clocked a personal-best 3:48.26 in the prelims, placing 12th overall.
