Three Eagles collect multi-hit game in win
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Boston College softball took down Merrimack College 7-0 on Tuesday in North Andover. The Eagles improve to 15-17 overall, while the Warriors drop to 6-16.
Offensively, BC was led by Abigail Knight, Nicole Giery, and Kamryn Warman, each finishing with two hits apiece. Hannah Slike and Erika Andal also singled. Darien McDonough recorded a RBI in the first with a sacrifice fly.Â
In the circle, the entire BC pitching staff contributed to the shutout. Peyton Schnackenberg got the start going three innings, allowing two hits, and walking one while striking out three. Freshman Abby Dunning picked up the win, twirling two hitless innings with three strikeouts. Susannah Anderson closed things out, pitching the final two frames allowing one hit and also striking out three.
The Eagles (15-17, 2-10) host Georgia Tech (25-11, 6-9) this weekend at Harrington Athletics Village. Friday's first pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. All games will be streamed on ACCNX.
