Eagles drop fifth straight
DURHAM, N.C. – Boston College softball dropped the second game of their series against Duke on Saturday, falling 10-0 in five innings.Â
Ellie Mataya and Abigail Knight were responsible for both of the Eagles hits. Mataya swiped her team-leading ninth stolen base of the season in the first inning.
Peyton Schnackenberg started in the circle for BC, going 3.1 innings, allowing nine hits, walking one, and striking out three.
The Eagles (14-16, 2-9) and Blue Devils 27-5 (10-2) are back in action for game three of the series at 12 p.m. on Sunday in Durham. The game will be streamed on ACCNX.
