BC Falls to Duke in Series Finale

DURHAM, N.C. – Boston College softball was defeated by the Duke Blue Devils 10-0 on Sunday. BC drops to 14-17 (2-10), while the Blue Devils improve to 28-5 (11-2).
Ellie Mataya led the Eagles' offense with two of their three hits. Nicole Giery picked up the third hit.
Peyton Schnackenberg highlighted the pitching for BC, twirling 1.2 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out one.
The Eagles (14-17, 2-10) visit Merrimack on Wednesday in a non-conference matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Warrior Softball Diamond in North Andover, Mass. The game will be streamed on NEC Front Row.
