
Eagles Start 5-0 With Win at Brown

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Boston College lacrosse team is 5-0 for the first time since 2019 after pushing past Brown, 15-9, on Saturday afternoon.
The Bears are now 1-2 on the season.
Charlotte North posted her fourth game of the season with at least five goals, leading the team with five. North added an assist as well, leading to a team-best six points.Â
Cassidy Weeks scored a season-high three goals for her first hat trick of the season, while Jenn Medjid also posted three goals. Caitlynn Mossman found the back of the net twice, and Belle Smith tallied a score. She also led the team with three caused turnovers. Courtney Taylor also posted three caused turnovers.Â
North started things off for BC with a goal in the first 1:17 of the contest. Brown took its only lead by scoring the next two goals to take a 2-1 edge.Â
Weeks scored two of her goals in the first period, including the final one to give BC a 4-2 edge going into the next frame.Â
The Eagles scored four straight goals in the second, with three coming from North. BC held an 8-2 lead before the Bears tacked on a goal before the half.Â
Brown sliced the lead to three early in the second half, but the Eagles' 4-1 run over the final 8:01 stretched the advantage to 12-6 going into the final quarter.Â
Three different Eagles scored to give BC its largest lead of the game at nine, 15-6. Brown scored three more times as well, but never threatened the rest of the way.Â
BC has won 35 straight games when holding its opponent to fewer than 10 goals.Â
The Eagles will have the week off before traveling to play Louisville on Saturday, March 5 at noon.
