Eagles Set to Take on Nebraska in ACC/BigTen Challenge

BOSTON COLLEGE VS. NEBRASKA - ALL-TIME SERIES

Today's game marks the second meeting between BC and Nebraska.
The Huskers won the lone previous meeting - 71-62 - on Nov. 29, 2017 in Lincoln. The game was also part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
BC assistant coach Jim Molinari spent five seasons on the coaching staff at Nebraska, from 2014-19.

BOSTON COLLEGE VERSUS THE BIG TEN

Boston College is 20-22 in games versus Big Ten opponents.
The Eagles all-time vs. the Big Ten: Indiana (3-1); Iowa (2-0); Michigan (4-1); Michigan State (3-3); Minnesota (1-1); Nebraska (0-1); Northwestern (2-4), Ohio State (1-1); Penn State (2-3); Purdue (0-3), Wisconsin (2-4).

Jaeden Zackery has scored a season-high 16 points in consecutive games - both wins - over Wyoming and Rhode Island.
Over the two games, the 6-2 guard has gone to the free throw line 16 times, connecting on 15. He was 8-8 vs. Wyoming and 7-8 vs. URI.
Against Rhody, Zackery also dished out three assists in 35 minutes.
Versus Wyoming, he led all scorers, while also grabbing four boards.
Prior to the scoring outburst vs. Wyoming, he had tallied 11 points in his previous two games - including a season-low four points against Tarleton State, going without a field goal for the first time in his 39-game career.
He has led BC in scoring twice this year and nine times in his career.
BC is 4-1 this season when he scores in double digits.
The sophomore guard ranks second on the Eagles in scoring, averaging 11.6 points per game.

In the shot clock era, Boston College has held consecutive opponents under 50 points on the scoreboard.
Over the past two games, the Eagles have held Wyoming to 48 points and, last time out, Rhode Island to 49.

BLOCKED SHOTS AND HIGHLY EFFICIENT

Devin McGlockton has made an impact off the bench over the last two games for Boston College.
He ranks eighth in the ACC in blocks per game (1.43 bpg) and 26th nationally in block percentage (10.4%) per KenPom.
Last time out, the redshirt freshman scored the evental go-ahead basket with 1:07 remaining in the game vs. Rhode Island.
He also sealed the victory with two free throws with eight seconds remaining; scoring six of his 11 points in the final 1:40.
At the Paradise Jam, McGlockton scored 12 points, making 5-of-8 shots from the floor - including 2-of-3 from the outside.
He added four rebounds, an assist, a steal, and three blocks - his second game with at least three blocks this season.
The last player to post a similarly complete stat line - Steffon Mitchell against Duke (12p/5r/1a/1s/3b).
McGlockton is the first Boston College player in at least 26 years to post that stat line coming off the bench.
McGlockton leads Boston College in FG% (16-28, 57.1%), effective FG% (60.7%), and true shooting percentage (63.5%).

ZACKERY'S 3-POINT EFFICIENCY

Dating back to last season, Jaeden Zackery is tied for 12th nationally among all active players in 3-point field goal percentage.
Zackery has connected on 46.0% of his long-distance shots, making 57-of-124 from beyond the arc (40 games).

MAKAI NAMED TO ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

Makai Ashton-Langford was named to the 2022 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam all-tournament team.
The veteran guard averaged 11.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists - including 17 points in the win over George Mason.
He made 5-of-9 shots from the floor, good for 12 points in the win over Wyoming.

BOARD MAN BICKERSTAFF

T.J. Bickerstaff has picked up where he left off last season - as one of the top rebounders in the ACC and the nation.
Bickerstaff ranks eighth in the ACC, averaging 7.6 rebounds per game during the 2022-23 season .
He posted double digits in the rebounding column in each of the first three games this season and four times overall.
Last season, the 6-9 forward was eighth in the ACC (7.2 rpg); he ranks as fifth-leading returning rebounder in the league.
Bickerstaff was one of 15 players nationally - two in the ACC (Bacot - UNC) to have multiple games with 17 rebounds or more.
Against UNC on Jan. 26, 14 of Bickerstaff's 17 rebounds came on the defensive glass.
The last BC player to grab at least 14 defensive boards in a game - Ky Bowman (16) - against Notre Dame on Jan. 12, 2019.
Bickerstaff also corraled 17 boards at home vs. Columbia - the fourth-most in a single-game in Conte Forum history.
The last BC player to have at least two games with 17+ rebounds - Ryan Anderson - during the 2012-13 season.
Bickerstaff registered four games with at least 15 rebounds in 2021-22 - tied for most in the ACC this season (Bacot).
The last BC player to have at least four games with 15+ rebounds - Craig Smith - during the 2005-06 season.
