Eagles Commence Fall Season With Back-To-Back Tri Meets

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Eagles will head down to Maryland this weekend to commence their 2022 season in back-to-back tri meets Friday and Saturday. The first event will be hosted by Loyola University Maryland at 5:00 p.m. in Baltimore, Md. American University will also be participating in this meet. The second meet will have the Eagles face off against Navy and Penn State at 11:00 a.m. in Annapolis, Md.Â
Boston College will return with several key performers from last year's opening meet. Senior Livy Poulin and sophomore Megan Kramer made headlines in last-year's opening meet; setting pool records in the one-meter dive (288.10) and the 500 Freestyle (4:57.89) respectively. Junior Nicole Barkemeyer also returns to the pool, looking to start the year off strong once again after winning the 100 Backstroke in the opening meet last year.
Senior Zachary Szmania (500 Freestyle, 1000 Freestyle), junior Kyle Floyd (100 Butterfly), sophomores Andrew Blusiewicz (200 Butterfly) and Michael Horkan (100 Backstroke) all return for the Eagles after winning their respective events in last year's season opener.
