Eagles Get Set for Pivotal Home Stand

Boston College, with a 13-5 overall record thus far prepare for matches against No. 2 Louisville and Notre Dame.
CHESTNUT HILL, MASS – Boston College Volleyball gets set for a huge weekend on their home court as they take on the No. 2 ranked Louisville Cardinals on Friday at 7 p.m and Notre Dame on Sunday at 4 p.m at the Margot Connell Recreation Center. Sunday's match against the Fighting Irish will be broadcasted on ACC Network.Â
The Eagles So Far…Â
BC currently stand at 13-5 on the season and 1-3 in the ACC after a tough road trip this past weekend with matches against Virginia Tech and Wake Forest in which they lost 3-0 and 3-1 respectively. The Eagles' offense seemed to have taken a bit of a step back after starting out the season red hot, they were out hit .353 to .085 against the Hokies and .265 to .183 against the Demon Deacons. However in their match against Wake Forest, BC did continue to show how resilient they can be in spite of adversity as they nearly forced a fifth set after being down 2-0 to begin the match. The Eagles currently sit tied for fourth in the ACC in overall standings with Florida State, Wake Forest, and Duke. Louisville and Pitt currently sit atop the conference at 13-1 and 14-2.Â

The Matchups…
Louisville: Friday's match will be the 13th time the two sides have met. Louisville currently holds the advantage with a 10-2 record all-time against Boston College. The most recent match last year came on October 8th when the Cardinals swept the Eagles 3-0. The No. 2Â ranked Cardinals have had a very impressive season thus far currently sitting at 13-1 overall and 4-0 in the ACC.Â
Notre Dame: BC will take on the Irish for the 26th time in each program's history, BC currently trails the all-time series at 4-21 with the most recent matchup coming last year on October 10th. The Irish won on that occasion 3-0. So far this season Notre Dame holds a 5-9 overall record and 0-4 in the conference.Â
