Boston College and No. 4 Syracuse Draw 1-1 in Regular Season Finale

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Boston College earned a 1-1 draw with fourth-ranked Syracuse in the ACC regular season finale on Friday night at the SU Soccer Stadium. Senior captain Walker Davey scored his first career goal for the Eagles.

In the 12th minute, freshman Ted Cargill curled a right-footed corner kick into the Syracuse box and Davey elevated to loop a header inside the right post for his first NCAA goal.

The Orange drew level in the 65th minute after earning a penalty kick in the left side of the box. Substitute Jeorgio Kocevski stepped up and fired his penalty into the bottom left corner to knot the score at one.

Brennan Klein made five saves on the night and came up with a key stop on Lorenzo Boselli at the left post with two and a half minutes to play.

Syracuse finished with an 18-8 advantage in shots, despite being out-shot by the Eagles 5-4 in the first half. Rookie Augustine Boadi had a team-high three shots for BC.
Boston College is the No. 10 seed for the ACC Tournament and will travel to Chapel Hill to face No. 7 seed North Carolina on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. on ACC Network.
