September 17, 2021 | Men's Soccer
CLEMSON, S.C. – Despite out-shooting Clemson for much of the match on Friday night, Boston College fell to the second-ranked Tigers 3-0 in the squad's first ACC road test of the season at Historic Riggs Field.
BC saw its four-match unbeaten streak come to a close as the Eagles dropped to 3-2-1 overall and 0-1-1 in conference play. Clemson remained perfect on the season at 7-0-0 (2-0-0 ACC).
The Tigers opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Isaiah Reid. Christian Garner made the initial save on Ousmane Sylla, but the rebound fell to Reid on the edge of the six-yard box and he finished for his sixth goal of the season.
Kristofer Konradsson had a pair of dangerous attempts in the first half from just outside the 18, but George Marks made the save on both to retain a 1-0 cushion. Konradsson had three shots on the night, one behind Michael Suski for the team-high.
The Tigers doubled their lead in the 67th minute when Josh Hallenberger sent a cut-back pass off the foot of Garner into the top right corner short side.
Brandon Parrish capped off the scoring in the 83rd minute as he drove a right-footed shot across the face of goal into the left side netting.
Boston College visits Yale next Tuesday (Sept. 21) in New Haven, Connecticut at 7 p.m.
