
Eagles Set to Race on Saturday Night at NCAA East Prelims

Sarah Flynn will race in the 3K steeplechase, while Lauren White and Anna Oeser compete in the 5,000m
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Boston College is ready for the final night of competition at the East preliminary of the 2021 NCAA Track & Field Championship.
Sarah Flynn will race in the 3,000m steeplechase at approximately 6:10 p.m. ET, while Lauren White and Anna Oeser toe the line in the 5,000m at 8:30 p.m. ET. Flynn is in the second heat of the steeplechase, with the top three from each of the three heats - plus the next three fastest - advancing to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Ore. White will race in heat one of the 5K, while Oeser will be in the second heat. The top five in each of the two heats - plus the next two fastest - advance to the national championship meet.

On Thursday night, Marne Sullivan and Sorcha McAllister competed in the 800m and 10,000m, respectively at the East prelims. Sullivan clocked 2:09.38, good for eighth place in the opening heat of the 800m. She finished 44th overall. McAllister crossed the line in 35:57.95, finishing 40th overall in the 10K.
