NC State Next Test Up for Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's soccer team will play the final game on its spring slate on Friday, April 9, hosting the NC State Wolfpack at the Newton Campus Soccer Field. The game is set for a 1 p.m. kick off.
All home 2020-21 BC athletics events are currently closed to the public due to Covid-19 protocols.

A WIN OVER NC STATE WOULD . . .
• Give the Eagles an overall record of 2-3-0.
• Move the Eagles' record in the all-time series with NC State to 9-7-3 with a mark of 7-0-2 in Newton.
ABOUT NC STATE
• NC State is coming off a 0-0 tie against Duke on April 3 and enters Friday's game with an overall mark of 3-8-3 ... the Wolfpack went 0-6-1 in the fall season but is 3-2-2 since kicking off the spring season with a 2-0 win against Alabama Birmingham on Feb. 20.
• Kuda Muskwe and Ivy Brisma are tied for the team lead in scoring, with both putting up two goals and one assist for five points.
• Leon Krapf has played every minute in goal for NC State so far ... he has a 1.21 goals against average, .660 save percentage and five shutouts.
• George Kiefer is in his fifth season as head coach at NC State.
SERIES HISTORY VS NC STATE
• The Eagles enter Friday's meeting with the Wolfpack – the 19th in the series – with an edge of 8-7-3 in the all-time series and a mark of 6-0-2 in Newton.
• Last season, the Wolfpack earned a 1-0 win in Raleigh.
• Four of the last five and 14 of 18 meetings between these two teams have been decided by one goal or less.
• The last time the teams met in Newton, the Eagles earned a 1-0 win on Oct. 5, 2018 over a then No. 17 NC State squad.
• The squads first met in 2004, a non-conference game in Newton a year before the Eagles joined the ACC, and played to a 0-0 stalemate.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Eagles last played on March 27, falling to the top-ranked Clemson Tigers in Newton, 3-2.
• The teams traded penalty kick conversions in the first 20 minutes of the game, with Kristofer Konradsson getting it down for the Eagles, and then Stefan Sigurdarson gave BC it's second lead of the game in the 51st minute.
• The Tigers, though, would even the score at 2-2 four minutes later and then net the winner in the 80th minute.
• BC was scheduled to play at Syracuse on April 4 but the game was cancelled due to COVID-19 protocols within the Syracuse program.
THE FIRST HOME GAME, THE FIRST ...
• The Eagles were last in action on March 20 against Louisville, picking up a 4-0 home win.
• Michael Suski scored two goals for his first career brace, finding the back of the net in the seventh minute and again in the 20th.
• It was the first time that BC had ever defeated Louisville ... it also marked the first official win as head coach of the Eagles for Bob Thompson.
• Goalkeeper Christian Garner made five saves for his fifth career shutout.
• Jorge Dickens picked up his first career goal in the 70th minute and then Kristofer Konradsson finished off the scoring in the 82nd.
• Stefan Sigurdarson finished the game with a career-high three assists ... it was the second multi-assist game of his career.
