
Late Goal Lifts No. 4 Eagles at No. 3 Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Jenn Medjid scored with 1:04 to play in the game to give the No. 4 Boston College lacrosse team a 14-13 win at No. 3 Syracuse on Thursday, April 22 in the Carrier Dome.
Medjid's game-winner was one of her three points on the day, while Charlotte North led the Eagles with six (5G, 1A). Caitlynn Mossman scored her first-career hat trick on her way to four points and Cara Urbank had five points on one goal and four assists.
Rachel Hall made four saves in goal and made the game-sealing save with 37 seconds to play.
BC scored the game's first four goals, holding Syracuse scoreless for nearly 14 minutes to open the contest. A back-and-forth first half led to a BC 8-6 lead heading into halftime.
Syracuse fought back to tie the game at nine early in the second half, that then saw five ties in the last 20 minutes of play.
BC was out-shot in the game, 25-19, with BC scoring 14 goals on 18 shots on goal. The Eagles had 18 draw controls to Syracuse's 10, led by North, who had eight. Hollie Schleicher had six draw controls and Urbank, four.
Jill Reilly had a team-high four caused turnovers.
