Eagles Fall to No. 32 Georgia Tech 6-1 on Senior Day

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Boston College hosted No. 32 Georgia Tech for its ACC regular season finale on Sunday morning at the Weymouth Club, losing by a final score of 6-1 on Senior Day.
Sunday marked the final home match for Max Mendelsohn, Santiago Montufar and Sean Mullins, who was not available to play.

BC's regular season record finished at 2-12 (0-12 ACC), while the Yellow Jackets posted a mark of 12-8 (6-6 ACC).
Boston College will face Florida State on Wednesday (April 21) at 2:30 p.m. to begin the ACC Championships in Rome, Georgia.Â

Georgia Tech secured the doubles point early on behind victories from ranked pairs No. 49 Marcus McDaniel and Andres Martin, as well as No. 79 Pablo Schelcher and Brandon Freestone. The No. 3 doubles match featuring seniors Montufar and Mendelsohn was extremely tight but went unfinished at 5-4.
In singles, Max Motlagh collected the lone point on Court 1 with his second straight win, an impressive three-set victory over 22nd-ranked McDaniel 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. Elsewhere, the Yellow Jackets dominated in singles play as five players won their matches in straight sets.
