
Eagles Eliminated by Florida State at ACC Championships

ROME, Ga. – 13-seed Boston College went up against 12-seed Florida State in the first round of the ACC Championships on Wednesday afternoon at the Rome Tennis Center, ultimately falling to the Seminoles 4-0.
The Eagles' 2021 season finishes with an overall record of 2-13.
Florida State moved through doubles play with wins on Courts 2 and 3. Alex Knaff and Sebastian Arcila clinched the point for FSU, as they defeated Santiago Montufar and Mason Fung 6-2. BC's Max Motlagh and Sean Mullins were in a tight 4-4 match in first doubles against No. 43 Loris Pourroy and Marcus Walters.
The Seminoles put away the match in singles play with victories behind 110th-ranked Pourroy, Walters and Andreja Petrovic. All other matches went unfinished in the first or second set. Motlagh won his first set on Court 2 against Knaff, while Max Mendelsohn went to a first set tiebreaker against Arcila.
Florida State moves on to the second round and will face 5-seed Notre Dame on Thursday.
