Eagles to Host AIC on Wednesday Night

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's soccer team will now host American International College on Wednesday, April 14 at the Newton Campus Soccer Field. The game is set for a 7 p.m. kick off.
All home 2020-21 BC athletics events are currently closed to the public due to Covid-19 protocols.

A WIN OVER AIC WOULD . . .
• Give the Eagles an overall record of 2-3-1.
• Move BC to 1-0-0 all-time against AIC.
ABOUT AIC
• AIC is coming off a 2-1 win over New Haven last Friday … the Yellowjackets are 1-3-0 on the year.
• Joseph Albano has two goals for AIC while Colin Spaulding has one … Martin Gael has added an assist.
• Three different goalkeepers have seen time for AIC, with Ioannis Iatroudis seeing the majority of the minutes … Iatroudis is 0-2-0 with a .467 save percentage and 4.00 goals against average on 38 shots faced.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Eagles last played on April 9, battling NC State to a 0-0 tie at the Newton Campus Soccer Field.
• BC held the 12-10 lead in shots and the 3-2 lead in shots on goal … the teams were even in corner kicks at 7-7.
• Christian Garner made two saves for the Eagles to earn his second shutout of the season and his sixth career shutout.
A BIT ABOUT BC
• Kristofer Konradsson and Stefan Sigurdarson are tied for the team lead in points with seven each … Konradsson has a team-leading three goals and one assist while Sigurdarson have two goals and three assists.
• Michael Suski with two goals and Jorge Dickens with one have each found the back of the net for the Eagles.
• Christian Garner has played every minute in goal for BC, going 1-3-1 with a .759 save percentage, 1.34 goals against average and two shutouts.

• The Eagles were last in action on March 20 against Louisville, picking up a 4-0 home win.
• Michael Suski scored two goals for his first career brace, finding the back of the net in the seventh minute and again in the 20th.
• It was the first time that BC had ever defeated Louisville ... it also marked the first official win as head coach of the Eagles for Bob Thompson.
• Goalkeeper Christian Garner made five saves for his fifth career shutout.
• Jorge Dickens picked up his first career goal in the 70th minute and then Kristofer Konradsson finished off the scoring in the 82nd.
• Stefan Sigurdarson finished the game with a career-high three assists ... it was the second multi-assist game of his career.
INTERNATIONAL APPEAL
• The Eagles are a diverse group, having seven different countries and eight different states represented on the 25-player roster.
