HOW IT HAPPENED
- 2' | Samantha Agresti was able to win a 50-50 ball in the midfield, poking it over to an open space for Laura Gouvin to pick up and turn up field. From 30 yards out, Gouvin then beat the goalkeeper with a long strike inside the right post.
- 48' | From the edge of BC's defensive third, Jenna Bike surged up field and outpaced the defense to space. Bike was able to send a pass out wide to the right for Sam Smith. Smith then made a move to open up a path to the goal and from the edge of the box was able to power a left-footed strike off a defender and past the goalkeeper.
- 60' | Rebecca Groseibl took a touch towards the middle of the field and found an open Smith. The sophomore then one-touched the ball to open up her hips to shoot from 20 yards out, sneaking a left footed strike inside the left post.
- Boston College had the 17-6 lead in shots and a 5-4 edge in shots on goal.
