• Give the Eagles an overall record of 2-2-0.

ABOUT CLEMSON
• Clemson, the top-ranked team in the nation, is coming off a 1-0 win over NC State on March 20 ... it was the sixth consecutive win for the Tigers, who have not lost since Oct. 30, 2020 at Wake Forest.
• The Tigers went 8-2-1 during the fall season and have topped NC State, Virginia Tech (1-0) and Syracuse (3-1) to start the spring.
• Kimarni Smith leads the team with eight goals and three assists for 11 points.
• Grayson Barber has seven assists and two goals for 11 points.
• Callum Johnson has three goals and three assists for nine points while James Brighton also has nine points, doing it on four goals and one assist.
• George Marks has played the majority of minutes in goal for the Tigers, going 10-2-1 with a 0.87 goals against average, .733 save percentage and three individual shutouts.
• Mike Noonan is in his 11th season at the helm of the Tigers.

SERIES HISTORY VS CLEMSON
• Saturday's game will be the 20th meeting between the two teams, all of which have come since BC joined the ACC in 2005.
• The Tigers hold a 10-4-5 edge in the all-time series, but the Eagles have a 4-1-3 mark at home.
• Last season, the team's met on Oct. 25, 2019, with Clemson picking up the 3-1 win at Historic Riggs Field.
• All of BC's wins in the series have come in Newton, with the Eagles maintaining a 4-1-3 mark at home.
• In 2018, BC picked up its first win in the series since 2019 and snapped a six-game scoreless streak against the Tigers.
• The Eagles won three-straight meetings in 2008 and 2009 – the team's only victories in the series (all three wins have come in Newton).
• In 2015 and 2016, the teams played in the regular season and then gain in the conference playoffs.

• The Eagles were last in action on March 20 against Louisville, picking up a 4-0 home win.
• Michael Suski scored two goals for his first career brace, finding the back of the net in the seventh minute and again in the 20th.
• Jorge Dickens picked up his first carere goal in the 70th minute and then Kristofer Konradsson finished off the scoring in the 82nd.
• Stefan Sigurdarson finished the game with a career-high three assists ... it was the second multi-assist game of his career.
• Goalkeeper Christian Garner made five saves for his fifth career shutout.
• It was the first time that BC had ever defeated Louisville ... it also marked the first official win as head coach of the Eagles for Bob Thompson.Â

468 DAYS LATER. . .AT WAKE FOREST
• The Boston College men's soccer team finally returned to the pitch for a competition on Saturday, March 6 at Wake Forest ... it had been 468 days since the last game.
• The Demon Deacons jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute but Stefan Sigurdarson tied the game up in the 40th.
• Kristofer Konradsson then gave BC a 2-1 lead just three minutes into the second half ... Wake Forest, though, would score twice over the final five minutes for the come-from-behind 3-2 win.
• Christian Garner finished with three saves for the Eagles ... Sigurdarson's goal was the ninth of his career and third against Wake Forest.
• The game marked Bob Thompson's first as head coach of the Eagles.

2019 REWIND
• The Boston College men's soccer team finished the 2019 season with an overall mark of 9-6-3 and a record of 2-4-2 in ACC play.
• The Eagles earned the program's 15th-ever NCAA tournament appearance ... BC hosted Yale in the first round, earning a 3-0 win, and then fell at No. 4 Washington, 2-0, in the second round.
• The Eagles opened up the season with a 4-0-0 mark and then went on to record a six-game unbeaten streak later in the season.
• Stefan Sigurdarson led the team in scoring, putting up 20 points on eight goals and four assists ... he had three game-winning goals as a rookie.
• Fellow freshmen Michael Suski and Amos Shapiro-Thompson were second and third in scoring ... Suski had 12 points on four goals and four assists ... Shapiro-Thompson had nine points on four goals and one assist.
• David Longo and Victor Souza both played every single minute of the 2019 season, putting in 1,707 minutes on the pitch.
• Goalkeeper Christian Garner appeared in 12 games ... Garner went 5-3-3 with a 1.12 goals against average, .794 save percentage and four shutouts ... he ranked first in the ACC in saves per game (4.50) and second in saves (54).
INTERNATIONAL APPEAL
• The Eagles are a diverse group, having seven different countries and eight different states represented on the 25-player roster.
• The most represented state for BC is Connecticut, which is called home by six players ... five players hail from Massachusetts.Â
• Iceland and Italy each have two representative on the roster while Croatia, Germany, Costa Rica and Spain have one each ... there are 17 players from the United States.
ABOUT HEAD COACH BOB THOMPSON
• Bob Thompson '03 was named head coach of the Boston College men's soccer team on Jan. 23, 2020 ... Thompson had served the previous two seasons as the associate head coach of the Eagles.
• Thompson began his coaching career at Northeastern University in 2007, where he helped guide the Huskies to three consecutive conference tournament berths, including two conference finals appearances.
• He spent two seasons as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Tufts University where he played a major role in a historic turnaround ... in 2011, after only two seasons, the Jumbos jumped from a record of 2-10-2 the season prior to Thompson's arrival, to a record of 9-3-2 and a National ranking of as high as 14th.
• Thompson, who played for the Eagles from 1999-2002, helped the program to two Big East championships, three NCAA Tournament appearances, an NCAA Elite 8 appearance and the still-school record 18-win season in 2002.
• As a player, Thompson ranks among the BC greats as he was named as an NSCAA Honorable Mention All-American his senior year and was twice named Big East Tournament MVP in 2000 and 2002.Â
• Thompson finished his career at Boston College in the top 10 in school history in a number of categories, and his teams finished with two Big East Championships, one Big East Regular Season Championship, three NCAA Appearances, an NCAA Elite 8 Appearance, and the most wins in school history with 18
• A 2003 Boston College graduate, Thompson played three seasons of professional soccer following college, including two seasons in MLS with the New England Revolution.
