Hofstra Tops Eagles in Double Overtime

BETHANY, Conn. – The Boston College women's soccer team fell in double overtime to Hofstra on Sunday afternoon in a neutral site match at CFC Park in Bethany, Conn.

QUICK RECAP
Hofstra led the pace of play in the first half, holding a 7-1 lead in shots after the first 45 minutes. The Eagles countered back to start the second half but it would be the Pride that got on the board first. Off a short corner, Miri Taylor served the ball it into the box where Lucy Porter headed it home. BC didn't take long to respond, scoring off a corner as well, with Laura Gouvin's service connecting with Sam Smith in the box to sneak past the Hofstra goalkeeper. After a scoreless first overtime stanza, a second Hofstra header goal from Porter gave the visiting team the win.
