
Sullivan Places Ninth in Mile at ACC Championship

Eagles' 4x400 relay team places eighth
CLEMSON, S.C. - Sean Sullivan placed ninth in Saturday's mile final, clocking a time of 4:05.54 at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championship. Â
Sullivan - who led the field through the first 1,200 meters of the race - advanced to the finals after running a 4:05.44 during the prelims on Friday.
BC's 4x400m relay team placed eighth, clocking a time of 3:19.08.
On Thursday, the distance medley relay team placed sixth overall in a time of 9:59.00. Steven Jackson led off, with a 3:03.48 split for the 1,200m. Marcus Manson clocked 48.82 in the 400m, followed by a 1:53.62 split for 800m by Denis Gallagher. Erik Linden anchored the mile leg in 4:13.09.
Individually, three Eagles competed in the 800m, led by Gallagher's 10th place finish. He clocked a personal-best time of 1:52.08 - eighth-fastest all-time in BC history. Friend Weiler was 19th, in a PR of 1:55.48, while Colin Trigani was 20th (1:56.44).
During Friday's action, Steven Jackson clocked a personal-best 4:10.00 in the mile prelims, finishing 15th overall. John Carter also registered a personal-best time of 4:13.05, good for 22nd place. Erik Linden was 23rd, clocking a season-best 4:13.43.
Marcus Manson clocked a season-best 49.42 in the 400m, good for 34th place. Jackson Sigalove's personal-best 51.44 placed him 37th. Ryan Russell was 38th (51.63), followed by Stephen Windisch (52.22) in 39th.
In the long jump, Tyler Heller was 17th (6.18m/20'3.5").
