Terriers Edge No. 6 Eagles at Kelley Rink

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 6 Boston College women's hockey team fell to Boston University, 3-2, on Friday afternoon at Kelley Rink.
The Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first 20 minutes, thanks to goals from Kelly Browne and Savannah Norcross, but the Terriers chipped away and pulled the game even three minutes into the third period. The visitors then capitalized in the final minute of the final frame to eke out the 3-2 win.
Abigail Levy finished with 24 saves for the Eagles while Kate Stuart had 27 stops for the Terriers. BU went 1-for-3 on the power play and held BC to 0-for-3. The Eagles had a 29-27 lead in shots on goal.

- 1st, 12:47 | 1-0, BC GOAL: Browne took a puck from Norcross off the halfwall and walked it up and across the blue line, wristing a shot through traffic and inside the right post from the center of the ice.
- 1st, 19:57.7 | 2-0, BC GOAL: Hadley Hartmetz stuffed the puck on goal and it popped out to Hannah Bilka. The rebound from Bilka's backhand from the hashmarks fell to Norcross at the left side of the crease for a finish.
- 2nd, 3:42 | 2-1, BU GOAL: On the power play, Jesse Compher came down the right circle and beat Levy's glove with a wrist shot inside the near post.
- 3rd, 2:59 | 2-2, BU GOAL: Compher circled behind the BC net and fed Mackenna Parker for a one-timer in the slot.
- 3rd, 19:19.7 | 2-3, BU GOAL: Levy gloved down a shot at the left post but a late whistle allowed the puck to pop across the goal line and Compher finished it.
- BC now holds a record of 31-23-7in the all-time series with BU … the Eagles are 12-10-4 against the Terriers at Kelley Rink … head coach Katie Crowley is now 26-21-6 in her career against BU.
- Hannah Bilka extended her point streak to six games …. it marks the second time in her career she's had a point in at least six consecutive games … her career best is a nine-game point streak during the 2019-20 season.
- Jesse Compher's power-play goal in the second period ended BC's penalty kill streak at 24 games.
- Savannah Norcross recorded the third consecutive and 10th overall multi-point game of her career … she now leads the Eagles with 20 points on 11 goals and nine assists.
- Hadley Hartmetz recorded her 13th assist of the season to lead the Eagles and tie for first nationally among defenders.
