
Lindstrom Named to Sporting News All-America Team

Third All-America honor for Lindstrom this postseason
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College center Alec Lindstrom was named to The Sporting News All-America second team on Tuesday. It marks the third All-America team Lindstrom has been named to this postseason.

Boston College has had three players on The Sporting News All-America team over the last four seasons. Tight end Hunter Long was named to the second team last year while kick returner Michael Walker was also a second-team selection in 2018.

Lindstrom is just the second center from Boston College to earn a spot on The Sporting News All-America team. Former BC standout Steve Corbett was named to The Sporting News All-America team in 1973.

Lindstrom repeated as the ACC's top center for the second straight season, becoming the first BC center to be named to the All-ACC first team twice. Lindstrom has the No. 3 pass blocking grade in the country at center (84.6) according to Pro Football Focus and allowed just one sack and two quarterback hits in 2021. He is rated the No. 5 center for the 2022 NFL Draft by ESPN's Todd McShay.

He is just one of five players in Boston College history to be named to the All-ACC first-team multiple times in his career.

Lindstrom also became the first player in BC history to be named a finalist for the Rimington Trophy, an award given annually to the nation's top center.
