Soule Earns ACC Player of the Week

ACC honors Taylor Soule for second straight week.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Sophomore Taylor Soule has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week, announced Monday by the league office. It is the second consecutive week that Soule earned the conference player of the week honor.

Soule has been pivotal in the Eagles current five game win streak. This week Soule shot 80 percent from the floor and averaged 19 points and 8.5 rebounds as BC defeated Pittsburgh and Miami.

Against Pittsburgh, Soule notched her team-high ninth double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. She shot 10-for-13 and went 5-for-6 from the floor with 10 points and four rebounds in the third quarter.

On Sunday against Miami, Soule battled foul trouble in the first half and bounced back as she scored 10 points in the third on her way to 16 points. She finished the game 6-for-7 from the floor and grabbed five rebounds.
In the Eagle five game streak, Soule is averaging 15 points and 9.4 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the floor.

The second-year guard is currently second in the ACC in field goal percentage (55.8%) behind teammate Emma Guy (59.2%). Soule is averaging a team-high 13.9 points and 7.9 rebounds a game. She has tallied double-digits in points in 18 games, including nine of the last 10 games.
Boston College is now 17-10 overall and 10-6 in the ACC. The Eagles are currently in a three-way tie in fourth place with No. 19 Florida State (10-6) and Virginia Tech (10-6).

Soule and the Eagles will hit the road and play at No. 5 Louisville on Thursday night (6 p.m.). That game will be lived streamed on the ACC Network. BC will finish out the regular season at Syracuse on Sunday.
