WHAT'S ON TAP
• Boston College and UConn are set to play two games this weekend, facing off at Mark Edwards Freitas Ice Forum on Friday night and then again on Saturday at Kelley Rink.
• These two teams last met in the Hockey East Tournament quarterfinal series at the end of the 2019-20 season, with the Huskies winning the three-game series, two games to one.
• The senior class (Willow Corson and Maegan Beres) have played UConn 15 times in their BC careers, seeing the Huskies more than any other opponent.
ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE
• In 2019-20, the Eagles went 17-16-3 overall and 14-11-2 in Hockey East to finish fourth in the standings and host a Hockey East playoff series for the eighth consecutive year.
• Four of BC's top five scorers and eight of the top 10 from a season ago are back, including returning leading scorer and 2019-20 National Rookie of the Year Hannah Bilka, who put up a team-leading 37 points on 14 goals and 23 assists as a freshman.
• Additionally, Kelly Browne (13-23-36) and Cayla Barnes (6-17-23) return after putting up career-highs as sophomores.
• Barnes and Bilka were named Hockey East Second Team All-Stars last year while Browne earned a spot on the Hockey East Third Team ... Bilka and Alexie Guay earned spots on the conference all-rookie team.
ABOUT UCONN
• UConn opened up its season with a two-game series against Providence ... the Huskies fell on the road, 6-2, on Nov. 21 and then the next day played to a 1-1 overtime tie before winning in a three-round shootout.
• Savannah Bouzide has a team-leading two goals while Claire Peterson has two assists ... Danielle Fox has a team-leading 12 shots on goal.
• Tia Chan and Samantha Carpentier-Yelle have each started a game in goal ... Carpentier-Yelle appeared in 12 games with 10 starts last year, going 7-3-0 with a .929 save percentage and 1.70 goals against average.
• UConn is coming off a 19-18-2 season in which it tied a program record with 13 Hockey East wins.
• The Huskies return six of the top eight point getters from a season ago including leading scorer Natalie Snodgrass ... Snodgrass had 33 points on 16 goals and 17 assists en route to Hockey East Second Team All-Star honors last year.
• Chris MacKenzie is in his ninth season as head coach of the Huskies.

• The Eagles lead the all-time series between the teams, 38-19-10 ... BC has a mark of 22-9-2 against the Huskies at Kelley Rink ... BC is 14-9-8 against UConn in Storrs and 2-1-0 in neutral site meetings.

TWO GAMES, SIX SCORERS, 12 POINT-GETTERS
• In Boston College's two-game series with New Hampshire to open the season, the team had six different scorers and 12 different players register a point across the 6-2 and 4-1 wins.
• It marked the first time since the 2014-15 season that the Eagles had six different players score a goal within the first two games of the season.
• It was also the first time since the 2015-16 season that BC had 12 different players register at least one point in the first two games of the season.
SHOOTERS SHOOT
• The Eagles have outshot the opponent in each of the first four games of the season, firing at least 33 shots on goal in each game (138 to 97).
• The last time BC opened a season out shooting the opponent in the first four games of the year came during the 2016-17 season when the team did it in each of the first 18 games.
• Since the beginning of the 2016-17 season, BC has outshot the opponent in 75% of games (117 of 156) ... in both the 2018-19 and 2016-17 seasons, the Eagles had the edge in 36 of 39 games.
• BC's highest single-game shot total since the beginning of the 2016-17 season is 56 against Holy Cross on Oct. 26, 2018.
• The single-game high for an individual player over that five-season span is 13 by Toni Ann Miano against Northeastern on Jan. 13, 2018.
• From Nov. 16, 2018 to Oct. 3, 2019, BC outshot the opponent in 31 consecutive games.
• For the Eagles this season, Hannah Bilka's career-high 11 shots on goal against New Hampshire on Nov. 21, 2020 is the single-game best.
FRESHMEN FIRSTS
• Through the first four games of the season, four of BC's rookies have earned at least one point.
• Gaby Roy picked up her first four career goals against UNH on Nov. 20 and then earned her first career assist the next day.
• Olivia O'Brien and Caroline Goffredo picked up their first career assists in that Nov. 20 game against the Wildcats while Natalie Tulchinsky earned her first career helper on Nov. 21, also against UNH.
• Seven of BC's rookies made their collegiate debuts in the season-opener at UNH on Nov. 21.
MEET THE CAPTAINS
• Cayla Barnes, Maegan Beres and Kelly Browne will serve as tri-captains of the 2020-21 Eagles.
• All three Eagles are first-time captains for BC ... Browne and Barnes become the ninth and 10th junior captains in program history.
• Beres enters her senior season having suited up for all 113 games that BC has played over the last three years ... last season, she finished second on the team with 47 blocked shots - a number that also ranked first in Hockey East and ninth in the nation among forwards ... she also set career-highs in goals (4) and shots on goal (50) in 2019-20.
• Barnes, a redshirt junior, is coming off a year in which she was named a Hockey East Second Team All-Star and was one of three finalists for Hockey East Player of the Year ... she recorded a career-high six goals and 17 assists for 23 points and finished third in the nation with a Hockey East-leading 103 blocked shots.
• Barnes is a two-time captain of the U.S. Under-22 Team and also captained the U.S. Under-18 squad that won gold at the 2017 IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championships.
• Browne set career-highs in points (36), goals (13) and assists (23) during the 2019-20 season ... the Hockey East Third Team All-Star finished fourth in the country and first in the conference with 451 face-off wins, becoming the first Eagle to record more than 450 wins at the dot since the 2015-16 season.
