ABOUT PITT
• Pitt is coming in to Thursday's meeting having played eight contests, going 6-2-0 overall and 1-2-0 in ACC play.
• The Panthers traveled to Virginia last week, falling to then No. 10 Virginia on overtime, 2-1, on Thursday and falling to Virginia Tech, 2-0, on Sunday.
• Amanda West has 17 points on seven goals and three assists to lead the team in all three categories ... West also leads the team in shots (33) and game-winning goals (3) ... eight different players have scored for the Panthers this season.
• Pitt's 6-0-0 start marked its best in program history and second-longest winning streak in school history.
• The Panthers were recently ranked for the first time in program history, coming in at No. 14 and No. 12 in the last two polls before dropping out in this week's.
• Randy Waldrum is in his third season at the helm of the Panthers ... Waldrum, who was named the head coach of the head coach of the Nigeria Senior Women's National Team earlier this week, led Notre Dame to national titles in 2004 and 2010.
SERIES HISTORY VS PITT
• Boston College has a record of 11-1-0 in the all-time series with Pitt ... the Eagles are 5-0-0 in Newton and 6-1-0 in Pittsburgh.
• These two teams first met on Oct. 11, 1997 with BC getting a 2-0 road win.
• In last year's meeting in Pittsburgh, the Panthers took a 2-1 overtime thriller ... after a 50th minute goal from Pitt, Mia Karras tied the game in the 75th minute ... the Panthers then scored four minutes into overtime for their first-ever win in the series.

• Bump BC's record in the all-time series against the Panthers to 12-1-0.
• Move the Eagles to 2-1-0 overall.
ABOUT LAST WEEK(END)
• Boston College kicked off its eight-game ACC slate last weekend, traveling to face Notre Dame and Louisville ... the Eagles fell 2-0 in Indiana on Thursday and 2-0 in Kentucky and Sunday.
• The Fighting Irish scored two goals in the first half in what was the first meeting between the two teams since 2015 ... Allie Augur made a career-high eight saves for the Eagles ... the sophomore goalkeeper had six stops in the first half.
• On Sunday, the Cardinals scored once in each half for the win ... Louisville held a narrow 10-9 lead in shots ... Augur finished with two saves while Jillian Jennings had a game-high four shots for the Eagles.
BC DEBUTS
• Rookies Zoie Allen, Linda Boama, Rebecca Groseibl, Laura Gouvin and Sonia Walk along with juniors Emily Knous and Megan Crevoiserat all made their Boston College debuts on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Notre Dame.
• Allen, Boama, Groseibl, Gouvin and Walk were making their collegiate debuts while transfers Knous and Crevoiserat were making their first appearance in the Maroon & Gold.
UP NEXT
• Boston College will play its first home game next week, hosting Duke on Thursday, Oct. 15.
• The Eagles will remain home on Sunday, Oct. 18 to face North Carolina.
2020 CAPTAINS
• The Eagles will be led by the trio of Jenna Bike, Jillian Jennings and Mia Karras.
• All three players are first-year captains.
• Bike, who missed the 2019 season due to injury, was named to the United Soccer Coaches Association DI All-Region team as a junior ... she enters her final season on the Heights having appeared in 57 contests with 56 starts while notching 10
goals and 10 assists.
• Karras played in all 18 contests for the Eagles in 2019, a career-high, while making 16 starts and logging the third-most minutes among field players with 1,434 ... she recorded one goal and two assists and will enter her senior season with two goals and two assists.
• Jennings enters her senior season having appeared in all 58 games that BC has played over the last three years ... she has logged over 3,500 minutes for the Eagles while also recording eight assists and one goal ... in 2019, she started all 18 contests and recorded three assists ... her older sister Kayla Jennings was a two-year captain for BC.
