
Eagles Gear Up For Thursday Night Clash With Miami

The 7:00 p..m. conference clash comes exactly 20 years after the first-ever meeting between BC and Miami.
Kickoff at the Newton Campus Soccer Field is set for 7 p.m., and the game will be live on ACCNX – which streams live on the ESPN App.
The game against the Hurricanes will also mark International Night, with spectators encouraged to bring their home country's flag.

• Move the Eagles to 8-1-1 on the year and 1-1-0 in ACC play.
• Bump BC to 12-3-3 in the all-time series with Miami and push the squad's unbeaten streak in the series to six games.
ABOUT MIAMI
• 3-3-1 Miami is coming off a 2-0 loss at Virginia Tech in its ACC opener on Saturday night.
• Tia Dupont has a team-high eight points on two goals and team-leading four assists ... Kristina Fisher is second with two goals and two assists for four points.
• Seven players have registered at least one assist for Miami ... five players have scored at least two goals while nine players total have scored.
• Tyler Speaks has played the majority of time in goal for Miami, going 3-3-1 with a 1.34 goals against average and .774 save percentage ... Melissa Dagenais has played in four contests.

LAST TIME OUT
• Boston College went toe-to-toe with No 6 Florida State on Thursday night before ultimately falling, 5-4 ... it was the first loss of the season for BC.
• Sam Smith opened the scoring in the 11th minute before FSU took a 2-1 lead with five minutes to play ... Gianna Mitchell then scored in the 41st to even it up, 2-2, at the half.
• The teams traded goals again early in the second half - with Smith heading home her second of the game - and then FSU scored twice for a 5-3 lead with 20 minutes to play.
• Olivia Vaughn pulled BC back within one in the 86th minute but FSU held off the complete comeback.
• Allie Augur finished with a season-high seven saves ... BC had two team saves in the first half to finish with nine in the game.

ABOUT HEAD COACH JASON LOWE
• Jason Lowe was named the program's fifth head coach on Jan. 9, 2019.
• Lowe arrived on the Heights after serving on the coaching staff at Wake Forest since 2014, including 2017 and 2018 as associate head coach.
• The Shaker Heights, Ohio native helped the Demon Deacons reach the NCAA tournament Round of 32 in 2017 and the Sweet 16 in 2018.
• Prior to Wake Forest, Lowe served as an assistant coach at Alabama for five seasons and two years at Emory.
• Lowe served as a goalkeeper for the Wake Forest men's soccer team from 1994-97.
• In addition to receiving his bachelor's degree in 1998, Lowe also earned his MBA from Wake Forest in 2002.

VALUABLE VAUGHN
• Senior forward Olivia Vaughn is BC's active scoring leader with 53 points on 24 goals and five assists.
• Vaughn recorded a career-high 21 points on a career-best 10 goals and one assist ... she also recorded a career-high 65 shots.
• She tallied a career-high two assists as a sophomore in 2017.
