Eagles Set to Host Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Boston College women's cross country team is set to host the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown at Franklin Park in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts on Friday, September 20, with the women's race beginning at 3 p.m.

BC will be competing against 22 of the nation's best cross country programs on Friday and coming off an impressive meet victory at UMass two weeks ago. Emeline Delanis led the Eagles to an impressive 1-5 sweep at the top of the leaderboards to give BC the team victory.

Last year at the Battle in Beantown, Paige Duca led the Eagles, who finished in 46th with a time of 18:05.7. Four of BC's top five finishers from this meet last year are back to compete this season.

Regional Ranking
The Eagles came into the season ranked third in the USTFCCCA Northeast Region and 11th in the ACC Preseason Poll. The third-place rank is the highest the team has been since 2014 and has been talked as the "most improved team in the region."

In week two of the polls, BC solidified their No. 3 spot, only behind Columbia and Dartmouth.
