Eagles Run to Second at Battle in Beantown

JAMAICA PLAIN, Mass. - The Boston College women's cross country team placed five in the top-30 to finish in second place at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown on Friday, Sept. 20 at Franklin Park.

BC scored 83 points, edging out fellow ACC member Wake Forest (103 points), while trailing Syracuse (35). Rounding out the top five was Harvard (138) and Georgia Tech (141).

Leading the way for the Eagles was senior Emeline Delanis, who placed sixth in the five-kilometer race with a time of 17:25. Closely following Delanis was classmate Isabelle Kennedy, who finished 10th in 17:35.

Crossing next for BC was junior Lauren White, who ran a 17:46 to finish in 16th. Closing out the scoring team for BC was Anna Oeser and Paige Duca, who finished in 25th and 26th in times of 18:01 and 18:03, respectively.
