Eagles Honored to Hockey East-All Academic Team

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Nine members of the 2018-19 Boston College women's hockey team have been named to this year's Hockey East All-Academic Team, as announced Thursday by the league.

Each student-athlete achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which she was actively competing.

Serena Sommerfield was named a Distinguished Scholar for having qualified for the All-Academic team in each of her four seasons of varsity play. Sommerfield, who graduated in May as an Economics major, was one of 24 student-athletes across the league to earn the Distinguished Scholar accolade. Additionally, Ryan Little and Molly Barrow were each honored to the All-Academic Team for the third time in their careers.

Hockey East set a league record this season with 148 female student-athletes on the All-Academic Team. Below is a full list of BC's honorees to the Hockey East All-Academic Team for the 2018-19 season:
