Eagles Secure No. 2 Seed in NCAA Tournament

The lacrosse team receives a first-round bye and home field advantage for the NCAA Tournament
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's lacrosse team has secured their place in the NCAA Tournament as the national No. 2 seed, earning home field advantage and a first-round bye in the tournament. The Eagles are set to host the winner of Dartmouth vs. Colorado which will take place at the Newton Campus Fields on Friday, May 10 at 4:00 pm.
The Eagles sat atop the national rankings and media polls throughout the season before facing their first setback in the ACC Championship, falling 15-13 to North Carolina. The Eagles were bumped to the No. 2 spot by top-ranked Maryland, who fell to similar fate with a loss in the Big Ten Championship to Northwestern. The Terps found themselves at the No. 2 rank for Monday's polls after earning the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament.
