Osipow's PR Leads Eagles in Day Two at ACC Championship

Senior places eighth in the 3,000m steeplechase
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Several more personal bests were registered on day two of the 2019 ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held at Lannigan Field on the campus of the University of Virginia.
On Friday night, Ben Osipow ran a PR of 9:04.29 in the 3,000m steeplechase, scoring valuable points by finishing eighth overall in the event.
In the 400m, both Stephen Windisch (49.50) and Khalfani Green (50.03) clocked personal bests during Friday's preliminary rounds.
Russell Wells posted a PR in the 800m, with a time of 1:54.22. Matt Morano crossed the line in a time of 1:53.66 in his heat of the 800.
On Thursday, Sean Burke placed third in the 10,000m run, while Marcus Manson and Ian Ritchie advanced to Saturday's finals in the 400m hurdles and 1,500m, respectively. Burke ran 29:26.40 to earn a spot on the podium. The senior from Pleasanton, Calif. race in today's 5,000m final.
Manson clocked a personal-best 54.67, putting him in the eighth and into today's 400m final. Ritchie's personal best of 3:47.51 for the 1,500m helped him advance on time to Saturday's final.
The Eagles' 4x400m relay team will also take to the track today in the final event of the championship.
