Boston College scored nine runs on 11 hits in the game. Senior Lexi DiEmmanuele led the Eagles as she went 3-for-5 with two RBI, two runs and two triples. Freshman Ellie Mataya had three hits, an RBI and a run scored, while freshman Kennedy Labshere went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
NC State scored six runs in the first inning, including a three-run home run to Brigette Nordberg.
The Eagles started Camryn Dolby (7-7) but after five batters, Susannah Anderson took the mound. CC Cook entered the game with the Eagles down 6-0 and retired the last two batters.
NC State would pick up runs in the second and third innings before Cook kept the Wolfpack off the board in the fourth and fifth innings. NC State extended the lead, 16-4, behind four runs in the sixth inning and four more runs in the seventh inning.
Boston College would score four runs in the fourth behind DiEmmanuele's second run scoring triple, and an RBI single from Mataya.
The Wolfpack pitcher Sydney Nester (9-4) went 5.1 innings with six strikeouts. NC State with 11 hits. BC was hurt again by three errors.
Game Notes
- Allyson Moore has a four-game hit streak. Moore had a single to right center in the seventh inning. Moore had three hits with five RBI in the series.
- Freshman Ellie Mataya led the team with five hits in the series.
- Lexi DiEmmanuele finished the series with four hits and eight total bases.
