BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston College softball team (11-20) lost to Boston University, 3-2, at the BU Softball Field on Wednesday in a non-conference game.
The game was scoreless through five innings. BC pitcher Susannah Anderson cruised through the first five innings giving up just one hit in the third inning. BU pitcher Ali DuBois gave up her first hit in the fifth on a single by Kennedy Labshere.
Anderson went 6.2 innings, struck out seven and walked three. DuBois, who earned the win, went the distance, struck out six and gave up three hits.
BC scored two runs with two out in the sixth inning to take a 2-0 lead. Freshman Ellie Mataya doubled to left field and scored when senior Carly Severini reached on an error by the BU left fielder. Severini scored the second run behind a single to center from senior Allyson Moore.
Boston University would score one run in the sixth behind two hits and an error. The Terriers won the game with two out and two on in the seventh. Emily Morrow hit a line drive into deep center to score both runs in the walk off victory.

- Freshman Kennedy Labshere has a three-game hitting streak. She has had six hits in the last three games.
- Senior Allyson Moore is in the midst of a five game hitting streak. The senior also has at least one RBI in the last four games.
