The senior reigned in her second set of Player of the Week nods after a 10-goal, 13-point week
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior captain Dempsey Arsenault has been tabbed as the Division I National Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the IWLCA on Wednesday. Arsenault reigned in ACC Player of the Week nods earlier this week following a stellar two-game performance, racking up 10 goals and three assists against two top-15 opponents.
Last week, the midfielder had six points in a convincing 18-5 win over No. 12 Navy in Annapolis. She put up three goals and two assists – her first hat trick of the season. Her six points was second-most of the contest, followed behind only classmate Sam Apuzzo's 10. Arsenault also picked up two ground balls and won control of two draws over the midweek contest.
Over the weekend, the Eagles held up against No. 5 Northwestern with a 22-17 win, backed by a career-high seven goals from Arsenault. The New Hampton, N.H. native added a woman-down goal for the Eagles before scoring three times within 2:04 at the midpoint of the second half to propel the Eagles over the Wildcats. She led all point-scorers on the evening while grabbing two ground balls and getting control of four draws as BC earned their first-ever win in Evanston.
BC is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation across all polls, is holding an 8-0 record on the season and looks to take on No. 21 Georgetown this weekend in Newton.
