Eagles Wrap-Up Last Meet Before ACC Championships
BOSTON, Mass. – The women's track and field team competed at the annual David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Friday.

On the track, two Eagles placed top 35 in the 800M. Gianna Bender finished 21st with a time of 2:09.91. Katherine Mitchell placed 34th with a time of 2:13.85.

Sprinter Emma Kinney placed 29th in the 60M dash with a time of 8.27.

Two eagles placed in the top 50 of the mile. Nicole Clermont finished 30th with a time of 4:50.43. Jessica Martin placed 49th with a time of 4:58.34.
Emeline Delanis took first overall in the 5000M with a time of 16:12.88, an ECAC and ACC championships automatic qualifying time. Fian Sullivan Sweeney placed eighth overall, running a time of 16:34.29, also qualifying for ECAC and ACC competition. Lauren White finished 22nd with a time of 17:10.04, while Jillian Skerry placed 26th with a time of 17:26.83.

In the field, Julia Lyons won the long jump, registering a distance of 6.02 meters, an ECAC and ACC championship automatic qualifying distance. In the high jump, Abigail Gothers cleared 1.60 meters, good enough for 12th.

Amanda Sinkewicz placed 17th in shot put with a distance of 11.48 meters.

In the 4x400M relay, the team of Emma Taylor, Emma Kinney, Sarah Heckel, and Abigail Gothers placed 19th with a time of 3:55.55.

The Eagles have an off weekend before the team is back in competition at the ACC Indoor Championships Thursday, Feb. 21 through Saturday, Feb. 23.
